Blocking Access

Keeping children off the internet when they should be doing their homework isn’t realistic. In today’s world, teachers post assignments online and students need the internet for research. But what about Facebook and other social media? There are applications such as SelfControl, Cold Turkey and Anti-Social that block websites for a set period of time. They may not be fool proof for our tech savvy kids so encourage student buy-in. These applications are certainly worth a try and BTW (by the way) some are even free.
